Grand Light restores lighting fixtures from every era in every application. Our restoration specialists understand the subtleties that distinguish one setting from another: here are a few tips for creating settings that are authentic and aesthetically pleasing.

The New Haven-based lighting restorer and designer had its custom outdoor wall bracket fixtures installed at Yale University's Silliman College.

New Haven, Conn., September, 2007 -- Yale University installed its newest outdoor wall lanterns, designed by Grand Light, at Silliman College on Grove Street.

The four lanterns, made of hand-crafted iron with a classic black finish, are the latest fixtures made for the university by the New Haven-based lighting specialists. They were designed to match the state of the existing corner bracket lanterns restored by Grand Light during the summer.

Facing a tight deadline, the New Haven, Conn.-based lighting restoration company recreated an antique crystal chandelier that fell during cleaning, only 12 days before the 2007 National Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.

Cooperstown, N.Y., July 28, 2007 -- Twelve days before Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken Jr. were inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, workers at the Otesaga Resort and Hotel were cleaning the antique Czech crystal chandelier when it fell 20 feet to the ground.

The Otesaga, which would host the inductees and other baseball greats, was without its crystal centerpiece, which was originally made around 1910 in London. Fortunately, Grand Light was there to pick up the pieces.
