The restoration work shop at Grand Light has been very busy over the past few weeks, as "restoration season" has begun. One of the projects we've been working on is this antique chandelier with matching wall sconces for Yale Medical School's Brady Memorial Laboratory.
Once these pieces are restored, they'll be installed in the main entrance way to the lab. The work order includes cleaning, repairing and refurbishing all of the metal components, repairing pin sockets, wiring leads, replacing the lamps and installing a new ballast. Also, the polychromatic green and gold baked enamel paint is to be cleaned and then retouched.
