The fabrication of six custom designed candle lanterns has been completed. The raw lanterns were constructed using 24 gauge copper, and will soon be given an oil-rubbed bronze finish. They will rest on top of custom designed tables, which very between 12" and 24" in length.
Following the fabrication of the prototype, some minor adjustments were requested by the client. The candle cup, which rests on a removable tray, has changed from having a 4 1/4" diameter to 4 1/2" diameter.
Once completed, the lanterns and matching bases will be sent to the client in Palm Beach, Florida. The custom lanterns and matching pedestals will go alongside an in-ground pool of a 14th floor apartment. The design is a modification of an existing lantern the client came across, which can be seen in our previous post about this project.
Updates about this project will continue to be posted as the work moves forward.
