Yale University's Morse College & Ezra Stiles College are currently undergoing a major renovation and Grand Light has been given the task of restoring numerous lighting fixtures from the buildings. The buildings are two of the twelve residential colleges at Yale University, both of which were built in 1961 and designed by architect Eero Saarinen, a master of American 20th Century architecture.
The restoration of dozens of lighting fixtures from New Haven, Connecticut's Shubert Theater is moving along steadily. The fixtures include nine small flush-mounts, 18 large flush-mounts, 5 pendants, and dozens of one-light and two-light sconces.
The Shubert Theater of New Haven, CT is currently undergoing renovations and Grand Light has been contracted to restore all of the lighting fixtures back to their earlier state.
Replication work continued on through the weekend which has successfully yielded the cage of the lantern and all of the iron scrolls which connect the fixture to it's mounting destination, and lantern's cage to the pole.
