New Haven, CT - Grand Light has delivered phase II of this project which included the interior lanterns. In this phase we completed 10 wall lanterns designed for the interior of the house.
Port Arthur, TX - Grand Light was contacted by Port Arthur Independent School District - School of Performing Arts, in regards to restoring some light fixtures in the main Lobby of the establishment. After considerations, it was decided to create new fixtures to accommodate the upgraded look of the Lobby.

The project required 10 flush mount fixtures and 5 pendant lights with similar design. The fixtures were drafted by Grand Light and sent for the client's approval. Samples for glass and finish were sent as well, and the client approved the combination of acrylic bowl bleached honey onyx, and a mahogany bronze finish. All the fixtures accommodate CFL lamps, and were wired in accordance to UL standards.

Custom Arts and Crafts Lanterns - Phase II

New Haven, CT - Fabrication has begun on 10 massive indoor Arts and Crafts lanterns. These were designed in the same style of the previously reported outdoor lantern, but from brass with an antique copper finish. Four smaller units will be 2' tall and the other six units will be an impressive 3' tall. The fixtures will be wall mounted inside a large room that is wired with a very sophisticated color kinetics lighting system.

Arts and Crafts Lanterns Phase 1 Complete

New Haven, Ct - Grand Light has completed the fabrication of stage one in the custom Arts and Crafts lanterns project. This stage included two types of outdoor wall mounted lanterns, and two sizes of post mounted lanterns. These lanterns were delivered yesterday to the client's residence in NY.

Grand Light was contacted to fabricate several large custom outdoor and indoor arts and crafts style lanterns for a private up-scale residence in New York. Theses fixtures will give a graceful uniform appearance to the interior and exterior of the home, while being varied in type and size.
Philadelphia, PA - Grand Light will be exhibiting at LIGHTFAIR International 2011 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in booth #523 and will be showcasing their capabilities in restoration and custom lighting, with highlights from their extensive resume of past projects.

Custom hand-forged iron lanterns nearing completion

The frames of ten hand forged iron lanterns and two wall mounted fixtures for a private residence in Connecticut are now nearly complete and will soon be wired and prepared for shipment.
Concord, NH - The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance recently recognized The United Congregational Church of Orford, New Hampshire with a Preservation Achievement Award for the restoration and rehabilitation of the United Congregational Church.  Grand Light is proud to have been a part of this project and congratulates the church on receiving the recognition.
Red Hill, NJ - Four custom designed chandeliers have been completed and installed at the Tower Hill First Presbyterian Church in Red Hill, New Jersey.

European chandelier replicated for private residence

Having seen a beautiful chandelier while traveling in Europe, a New Jersey resident called Grand Light to see if could have one custom-made for his own home.

The fabrication of six custom designed candle lanterns has been completed.  The raw lanterns were constructed using 24 gauge copper, and will soon be given an oil-rubbed bronze finish.  They will rest on top of custom designed tables, which very between 12" and 24" in length.

Grand Light was recently contacted by a client who wanted to replicate a chandelier that he had seen in Europe. Using a picture he had provided as inspiration, Grand Light's artisans sketched out their interpretation of what the new chandelier will look like.

Custom Lantern & Base Given Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish

The prototypes of the custom candle lantern and matching base have been given a hand applied oil-rubbed bronze finish. The prototypes were constructed using 24 gauge copper, and are currently being shipped to the client.  Production will resume following Thanksgiving on the remaining five lanterns and four tables.

The fabrication of a custom designed candle lantern and matching pedestal has been completed.  The raw prototypes were constructed using 24 gauge copper, and are scheduled to be given a bronze finish this coming Monday.

Grand Light's restoration team recently completed the restoration of ten gothic-style chandeliers for the auditorium of the Washington Irving Intermediate School, located in Tarrytown, New York.

Grand Light has been given approval to begin fabricating custom candle lanterns and two different variations of matching pedestals for a client in Palm Beach, Florida.  The custom lanterns and matching pedestals will go alongside the in-ground pool of a 14th floor apartment.

The custom lanterns are modifications of an existing lantern the client came across, which can be seen in the picture below.
As part of a massive renovation of Washington Irving Intermediate School in Tarrytown, NY., Grand Light has been called in to restore a series of ten chandeliers and to design and fabricate ten custom exit signs for the schools' auditorium.

The New Haven-based lighting restorer and designer had its custom outdoor wall bracket fixtures installed at Yale University's Silliman College.

New Haven, Conn., September, 2007 -- Yale University installed its newest outdoor wall lanterns, designed by Grand Light, at Silliman College on Grove Street.

The four lanterns, made of hand-crafted iron with a classic black finish, are the latest fixtures made for the university by the New Haven-based lighting specialists. They were designed to match the state of the existing corner bracket lanterns restored by Grand Light during the summer.
