The fixtures are a part of large scale, two phase restoration project that began in late 2009. New Haven, CT - The restoration of 188 historic gothic-style pendant lighting fixtures from Yellowstone National Park's Old Faithful Lodge is nearing the final stages of completion.
The fixtures are currently in final assembly, where they will be wired, and tested in compliance with UL testing procedures. A total of 1184 panels of medium amber colored, Wissmack-type glass with a dew drop pattern coated in a 3M SCLARL #150 safety film will be installed in fixture's frames. The historic fixtures will then be packaged and crated for the journey back to the lodge for delivery early April.

Built in 1872 on the isolated Body's Island of North Carolina's Cape Hatteras National Seashore, The Bodie Island Lighthouse is one of the most classic settings of American light stations. The structure has a significant history; having been destroyed and rebuilt twice, once by retreating Confederate troops in 1861 who feared the lighthouse could be used as a Union observation post during the Civil War.

NEW HAVEN, CT - Grand Light has begun the second phase of lighting restoration work for the New Haven Museum in New Haven, Connecticut. The fixtures being restored include a crystal chandelier from the first floor of the museum as well as ten wall sconces.
The Shubert Theater of New Haven, CT is currently undergoing renovations and Grand Light has been contracted to restore all of the lighting fixtures back to their earlier state.
 The restoration team from Grand Light traveled to Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, Massachusetts last Wednesday to remove a crystal chandelier in need of restoration, rewiring, and repair. The chandelier has been on display in the Stedman Buttrick House, which serves as the park's headquarters and visitors' center for the historic North Bridge.
The 971-acre park receives over one million visitors each year, who come to see important sites associated with the opening battle of the American Revolution. Congress established the park in 1959 to preserve and protect areas such as the first four miles of the Battle Road, where Colonists fired upon British troops as they returned from Boston, and the place where the "shot heard 'round the world" was fired. The park also preserves The Wayside, where 19th century authors kept the spirit of the Revolution alive by creating uniquely American literature.

One of the medium sized chandeliers from the Yale Calhoun College project has been completed. The fixture's components were stripped from the frame and then refinished to their original state. Then, the crystal prisms were individually cleaned and re-pinned, and the fixture was reassembled and rewired and tested in accordance with UL standards.

Recently, Grand Light's team received a

particular crystal chandelier is a family heirloom that belonged to our client's
grandmother and she wanted it brought back to the original condition of when it
hung in the families' dining room.
Yale University has announced that in 2008 it will begin a full-scale renovation of their Calhoun College. As a result of the high level of satisfaction with the work previously done for Yale University, which includes the Marquand Chapel chandeliers, Dwight Hall fixtures, and the Divinity School chandelier, the experts at Grand Light were contracted to begin the extensive restoration of the light fixtures for the college.
All ten chandeliers from the Washington Irving Intermediate School have now undergone a complete restoration and are ready to be transported back to Tarrytown, NY, one full week ahead of schedule.
